Your radio must have software version V257-a-865-a-349 or higher. Please upgrade your radio prior to using your Grace Digital iPhone remote control software. Go to the radio’s main menu and choose ‘settings’ then ‘upgrade firmware then ‘yes’.
The iPhone remote control is designed to work with the follow model numbers: GDI-IR1000, 2000, 3000, 3020, 4000, 4400.
It will not work with the GDI-IRP600. While it will work with the original ITC-IR1000, since the ITC-IR1000 has analog volume control it will not control the radio volume absolutely but rather relatively to the radios' analog volume control.

If your connection to your router takes a long time please turn our wireless standby' feature on. This will double the speed to connect and start playing your radio station when the radio is first turned on. We have also noticed this feature helps for customers who have network error problems.
Please fo go to the following menu on your radio:
- choose 'settings' from the main menu
- then choose 'network configurations'
- then choose 'wireless standby' and choose 'yes'
Enjoy,
Greg

Trouble shooting guide for connecting Grace Digital Radios to Sirius Internet radio service
| 31 | 50 | 2 days 17 hours ago by singg |
Grace Digital has released firmware (service pack number) V257-a-895-a-128 to resolve internet radio error messages starting with: DNS, net mask, Gateway or stuck in ‘connecting….’. These errors typically occurred on AT&T networks utilizing 2wire routers. The firmware upgrade (service pack) is intended for internet radio models: ITC-IR1000B, GDI-IR1000 and GDI-IR2000.

The new GDI-IR1000 replaces the ITC-IR1000. The GDI-IR1000 adds a few minor changes:
1) Digital audio control
2) Equalizer settings to optimize your audio for the type of music you listen to and environment.
The equalizer has 6 preset settings as well as bass and treble settings.
The GDI-IR2000 is the same product as the GDI-IR1000 but adds a IR remote control and Aux in jacks.
Please note to listen to Pandora or Sirius you will have to upgrade the software to the latest version.
The latest software available for both units is: v257-a-865-a-097

As some users have noticed there were some unfortunate bugs released recently. We have been testing a new version of firmware ending in 070 and are expecting to release it Monday 1/12 pending final QA testing. It is highly suggest that anyone using 056 or 053 upgrade to 070 to avoid any potential problems. It has been identified that even if you are not currently experiencing any problems with version 053 or 056 problems may occur in the future. Service packs ending in 030 are solid but if you desire the added benefits of our new features please upgrade to 070. 070 has the same features as 053 and 056. The code was simply optimized and cleaned up significantly.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hello,
those of you who are still having problems with firmware (service pack) ending in 056 we are set to have a new version available by January 9th. Of course if 056 is working well for you like it is most people, but of course not all, no reason for you to upgrade to the new firmware. There will be no new features added simply optimization of the code to fix bugs that were introduced with the latest code.
Regards,
Greg

In order to activate Sirius internet radio service on your Grace Digital radio you must subscribe to Sirius 'Premium internet radio' at http://www.sirius.com/siriusinternetradio. The cost of the service is currently $2.99. Please note even if you can currently listen to Sirius internet radio stations on your home computer, you must upgrade to the Sirius Premium internet radio package to listen to Sirius on a standalone internet radio device such as the Grace Digital Internet radio.

The Grace radio will be able to access some archived content from many podcast services. As an example, the BBC on-demand content can be listened to on Grace Radios. The user will need to select 'Internet Radio > Location > UK > BBC Radio 4 > On Demand' to see what's available.
The user could also add the Podcast item to their 'My Podcasts' section on the Reciva website (soon Grace website), then access it from 'My Stuff > My Podcasts' on the radio. In this case, the use would need to add the RSS feed for the archived link, which is:
http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/radio4/iot/rss.xml
The availability of BBC streams outside the UK depends on the traffic (number of users in the US currently listening) .
Please see this link for more details specifically related to the BBC on demand content:

We have a new firmware available v257-a-865-a-056 . This appears to have fixed the issues in 040 firmware.
Please note in order to fix some issues we wiped out all configurations on your radio. So after the firmware upgrade you will have to renter your WPA or WEP passwords if you use security.
Lastly, please note, you do not have to upgrade to this new firmware. If you rather stay on your current firmware simply select 'no' when the radio prompts you to upgrade.
The features and functionality are the same as the previous firmware -040.

If your radio plays internet radio stations ok but you are unable to play a specific stream or podcast that you are saving in your 'my stations', 'my streams' or 'my podcast' folders typically it means the URL that you have added is not the actual source URL. One way to check the URL is to see if a media player comes up when you place your desired URL into a browser window. If a media player comes up our radio will not be able to play that URL (stream, station, or podcast) . Our radio will only be able to interpret the actual source media-stream URL.
A useful tool for extracting media-stream URLs from a webpage can be found
here: http://www.donationcoder.com/Software/Mouser/urlsnooper/index.html
However, the best way to locate the actual source URL that you desire is to contact the audio stream provider directly.
